About
Samionics is located at Eskilstuna Airport (ESSU) about 100km West of Stockholm. Our mission is to provide service and support for aircraft and helicopters regarding avionics, trouble shooting, service, repair and installation.
Experience from bench repair of most GA avionics from the well known Bendix/King KX170 generation up to todays products such as Garmin G1000/G500 in Diamond DA40/42, Cessna & Mooney.
We have installed about 100 Garmin GNS430/530 units, audiopanels, COM’s and NAV’s. Several Aspen Avionic EFD1000PRO EFIS installations. Stormscope WX-500, S-Tec 55X autopilots, Artex and Kannad 406 ELT’s. However, today we focus on equipment manufatured by Garmin that has more or less become the standard in lighter general aviation aircraft when it comes to all aspects including audio panels, COM, COM/NAV, COM/NAV/GPS, transponders ADS-B in/out, autopilots etc. The only thing that Garmin does not have in their product line is DME and ADF most likely since most procedures have been replaced with GPS LPV (localizer precision vertical guidance) procedures.
We have EASA approvals for Trig Avionics TT31 Mode-S transponder (KT76A replacement) in C208, PA34 and Beech multi engine piston aircraft and so far we have produced over 60 EASA Part-21 minor change approvals – done by us at a very cost effective price.
The history of the avionic work shop named Telfi Radio started for many years ago… The shop has been moved back and forth between Eskilstuna/ESSU and Västerås/ESOW. Due to the financial collapse in the early 1990’s the company faded away for a year or two but then was put back in business 1995 when the remains was bought by Nord Flyg Service.
The previous owner Stefan Jägersund and one of its old employees Hasse Esbjörnsson helped in rebuilding the avionic shop. The business was quite small so there was only enough work for one full time employed and that came to be – Sam Yrlund. In 2008 the company Nordflyg Service was sold and the name change to Helicraft Nordflyg Service. In 2014 as a measure of reducing expenses the base/line station in Eskilstuna/ESSU was relocated to the already existing maintenance facility in Nyköping/ESKN. The avionics shop however remains at Eskilstuna Airport under the trade name Samionics.
I’m passionate about avionics, not just as a job, but as a craft. Every installation, every upgrade, every wiring challenge is an opportunity to apply careful thought and practical experience. This site isn’t about selling or advertising — it’s my way of sharing what I do and how I work. I want visitors to see the person behind the company, to understand the decisions, care, and attention that go into each project.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to earn the trust of many pilots and aircraft owners. Sometimes that trust feels almost larger than life — and I take it very seriously. It’s humbling, and it drives me to keep doing my best every day. Here, you’ll find stories, installations, and reflections — a glimpse into the work I enjoy, the challenges I tackle, and the passion that motivates me.

Please support our business by letting us do your next avionics installation.
